Ich bin ein Berliner...

Well, it has been great so far in many ways. It has been a stimulating and refreshing time exploring Berlin by bike, getting to know new people, new bars and galleries. There is a steady flow of people coming and going, visiting and understanding the history of this very old and very young city.

Finally – snow for my birthday again...

It has been a while that I had a white birthday and my biggest wish came through... it was fun and quiet and beautiful... below is our street when we came home after a beautiful dinner at Der Goldene Hahn...

Teufelsberg

Teufelsberg is an artificial hill with a curious history: it was built by the Allies after the Second World War from the rubble of Berlin as the city was rebuilt. One estimate for the amount of rubble is about 12 million cubic meters, or about 400,000 buildings. In 1957 the US National Security Agency built one of its largest listening stations on top of the hill.
We went on a lovely but cold Sunday morning adventure to explore the ruins at Teufelsberg. The view was amazing but eerie at the same time, walking on a historical but forgotten and disputed site.

Poor and cold but Sexy

Berlin _ Probably one of the cheapest capital cities in Europe, with very appealing large streets, filled with trees, parks, bike lanes and fantastic public transport. The feel of the city is very particular, and slow. Stories are told. Anything goes.
At the same time you wonder, how or when or if people work here at all? They definitely know how to party! Jobs are very hard to get, it's a matter of being very patient, waiting for the right project, the right studio, the right time.
In the meantime we are keeping ourselves busy working in Becks studio, painting, printing and singing – taking in the history everyday and everywhere, in this ever changing city...
